Aimee’s Beauty on a Budget <3

So this is something I have been doing for a while on my social media and of course on Xpose every other week. We ALL love a good bargain so why not share my favs? Of course there are times when the luxury products just get us or you may prefer the higher end brands but for your day-to-day run around makeup save your pennies and stock up on products that actually work!!

Here are some of my currents loves which I will continue to update;

The Angle Brush

Angle bursh This angle brush has been modified slightly since I posted this and now retails at €5.50 but it is forever my favourite angle brush!! Obviously having worked for MAC I have their entire brush belt which I love but I do find the AYU angle brush more precise. I use this for my brows & flicked liner so I get great use out of it and just give it a clean in between.

Having a thin brush is key to good brows and an even better flick so it should make your life all that bit easier!

TOP TIP; Always face the higher point in towards the tear duct when doing both brows and liner and lie it flat.

Under Eye Concealer

concealer

This I obviously screen shotted from my Instagram – you can follow me

As far as concealers go this Catrice beauty is absolutely without a doubt in my top 3. I love shade 020 as I find its not as white as 010 and still lighter than foundation. I apply this all around my under eye area so that it merges in with my foundation. Its slightly thicker than the MAC Mineralise and you also get a lot more product in which is also going to work in your favour.

My one advice is that this product is AlWAYS sold out and for €3.95 you’d be mad not to buy the whole shelf! :)

TOP TIP; I like to blend it in with my ring finger as I find it melts the product into my eye area better. Only a small amount is needed as otherwise it can be too drying!

Illuminizing Base

base So again its not to say that I have fallen out of love with MAC’s Strobe Cream because I most definitely haven’t BUT this Boots Botanics Radiance balm is an absolute steal of a product and works really well on the skin. I would use this before I apply my makeup all over the face – generally 3 pea sizes is enough as you don’t want to overdo it before foundation. This isn’t essentially a primer bur it is a base so its enough to use on its own, if you prefer. Botanics actually have quite a large range of product which I am always trying out & always impressed with!

TOP TIP; If ever you’re looking to lighten the consistency of your foundation mix some of the balm into it which will give it a nice glow and a lighter look!

Mascara

mascara

So there are SO many mascaras out there that it can be hard to find ‘the one’. I always say the mascara teams are split into two sides; The Stiffer Brushes VS. The Softer Brushes. I am team Stiffer so if you’re like me you’ll LOVE this Essence Maximum Definition mascara – not only is the price fab but the product is too. I have applied it in the photo above to show the difference and the effect it has…..WOW. I also have other favourites but this one is always a constant love of mine.

TOP TIP; If you’re a fan of giving yourself to mascara coats but that full effect make sure to let them dry in between to avoid any clumpiness!

There are plenty more products to add to the list but I don’t want to spoil you all at once!! :D
